Using Mobile Wallet
How can I tell if I am using a Mobile Wallet or a Hardware Wallet?
If you are using a Mobile Wallet, you will see the Mobile Wallet label on the wallet home screen under the total balance.
If you are using a Hardware Wallet, the app will display the number of Tangem devices linked to the wallet.
Is there a limit to how many mobile wallets I can have in one app?
Yes. The Tangem app supports only one Mobile Wallet at a time. If you already have one, you won’t be able to add another.
How can I change the access code in a Mobile Wallet?
You can change your access code in the Tangem app settings:
- Open the Tangem app.
- Tap the three dots in the upper-right corner.
- Select the wallet.
- Tap Change access code.
- Enter and confirm a new 6-digit access code.
Changing the access code only affects access to the app. It does not impact your private keys or wallet addresses.
Can I use Tangem Pay with a Mobile Wallet?
Yes. Tangem Pay can be used with a Tangem Mobile Wallet, provided the feature is available in your region.
Note: your Mobile Wallet must be backed up before you can use Tangem Pay.
Are there limits on how much I can store in a Mobile Wallet?
No. There are no storage limits specific to a Mobile Wallet. You can store any amount as with a Hardware Wallet. Your balance is not limited by the wallet type.
Are there limits on buying, selling, or swapping assets with a Mobile Wallet?
No. There are no limits specific to a Mobile Wallet. Buying, selling, and swapping limits are the same as for a Hardware Wallet.
Any applicable limits depend on the service or provider used (for example, third-party on-ramps or swap providers), not on the type of Tangem Wallet.
How do I confirm a transaction with a Mobile Wallet?
When using a Mobile Wallet, you do not need a Tangem device to confirm transactions.
The confirmation method depends on your security settings:
- If no access code is set, confirm the transaction using Tap and Hold on the Send button.
- If an access code is set, confirm the transaction by entering your access code or using biometric authentication (such as Face ID or fingerprint).
