Federal courts in Alabama and the Southern District of New York dismissed all Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) claims against the exchange. The Alabama court criticized the plaintiffs' complaint as a "shotgun pleading," noting it failed to specify allegations and distinguish between defendants. The complaint, spanning over 100 pages and grouping multiple claims and parties, did not meet federal pleading standards. Plaintiffs, including victims and relatives of attacks linked to militant groups, alleged Binance facilitated transactions that supported terrorism financing. However, both courts found the complaints lacked the necessary clarity and legal foundation. Plaintiffs have until April 10, 2026, to file amended complaints addressing these deficiencies. Binance reaffirmed its commitment to compliance and lawful operations, emphasizing it will not tolerate misuse of the legal system against the crypto industry.
