Remixpoint sells altcoins, focuses on Bitcoin

Remixpoint sold all altcoins for 878.8 million yen, now holding only Bitcoin (about 1,506 BTC). The move aims to boost capital efficiency and support growth initiatives.

Japanese company Remixpoint sold all its altcoin holdings—including Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin—on September 1, generating approximately 878.8 million yen and realizing a profit of about 117.8 million yen. Following the sale, Remixpoint now holds only Bitcoin, with reserves totaling around 1,506 BTC. The company explained that this move is part of a strategic shift to consolidate its crypto asset portfolio and focus on a Bitcoin-centric investment and operational strategy, aiming to improve capital efficiency. Proceeds from the altcoin sales will be recognized in the second quarter results for the fiscal year ending March 2027. Remixpoint may use these funds to expand assets in growth sectors such as grid-scale energy storage, strengthen its financial foundation, and pursue other initiatives to enhance corporate and shareholder value. This decision reflects a broader trend of institutions consolidating crypto holdings into Bitcoin, citing its liquidity, security, and global acceptance.
