T. Rowe Price files for diversified crypto ETF

T. Rowe Price filed an amended S-1 for a crypto ETF, targeting up to 15 major cryptocurrencies. Anchorage Digital Bank will act as custodian, and staking may be included.

T. Rowe Price has taken a significant step into the digital asset space by submitting an amended S-1 registration statement to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for its actively managed Price Active Crypto ETF. This fund is designed to offer direct exposure to a diversified portfolio of up to fifteen leading cryptocurrencies, such as bitcoin, ether, solana, XRP, cardano, avalanche, litecoin, polkadot, dogecoin, hedera, bitcoin cash, chainlink, stellar lumens, shiba inu, and SUI. The ETF will not hold all assets at once but will maintain a selection of five to fifteen cryptocurrencies at any given time. Allocation and rebalancing decisions will be guided by quantitative models. Anchorage Digital Bank has been named as the crypto custodian, and the filing also introduces the potential for future staking activities. Aiming to outperform the FTSE US Listed Crypto Index, this ETF distinguishes itself from single-asset spot bitcoin ETFs. The move highlights increasing institutional interest in regulated crypto investment vehicles and marks a notable expansion of T. Rowe Price’s product offerings into digital assets.
