Ripple unveils XRPL AI Starter Kit for AI payments

Ripple launches the XRPL AI Starter Kit, enabling AI agents to make autonomous payments on the XRP Ledger with X402 protocol support and advanced developer tools.

Ripple has introduced the XRPL AI Starter Kit, a toolkit designed to empower AI agents to autonomously transact on the XRP Ledger using XRP and RLUSD. This kit features support for the X402 payment protocol, enabling machine-to-machine payments without accounts, API keys, or human involvement. The toolkit includes an MCP server for direct access to XRPL documentation, Claude-compatible payment skills for wallet management and payments, and institutional-grade features such as escrow, multi-signature, and trust lines. These tools aim to simplify the development of agentic payment applications and machine-native commerce. This launch is part of Ripple’s broader strategy to integrate AI into the XRP ecosystem, enhancing security and tokenization for institutional use. Ripple’s initiative also aligns with a partnership with Mastercard to develop an AI agent payment network, addressing infrastructure gaps as traditional financial rails become outdated for AI-driven transactions.
