This upgrade brings integrations with major platforms such as Tinder, Zoom, and Docusign, enabling features like a "verified human badge" on Tinder and deepfake protection on Zoom. The new World ID app, now in public beta, serves as a portable authenticator for managing credentials and verifying identity across third-party platforms. The protocol redesign introduces account-based architecture, multi-key support, key rotation, recovery mechanisms, and session management, aligning with enterprise security standards. Privacy is strengthened through zero-knowledge proofs and one-time-use nullifiers, ensuring user anonymity and preventing tracking. Biometric verification via Orb devices remains central, with only encrypted code fragments stored. The upgrade also debuts "human continuity," confirming the same unique user across multiple interactions. The open-sourced World ID SDK supports broader integration, and the network now boasts nearly 18 million users in 160 countries, targeting sectors like dating, gaming, and ticketing to combat bots, fake profiles, and AI deepfakes.
