XRP Ledger integrates Boundless ZK tech for institutional privacy

XRP Ledger integrates Boundless ZK tech, enabling confidential, compliant transactions for institutions by shielding sensitive details while allowing regulatory auditability.

The XRP Ledger has integrated Boundless, a zero-knowledge (ZK) infrastructure provider, to enable confidential yet compliant transactions for banks and asset managers on its public blockchain. This integration allows institutions to shield sensitive transaction details—such as size, frequency, and counterparties—from public view, while still permitting regulatory auditability through selective disclosure and role-based access controls. By addressing the 'transparency tax' that has limited institutional adoption of public blockchains, this move supports use cases like cross-border B2B payments, treasury management, OTC positions, tokenized asset issuance, and DeFi lending. The deployment marks the first native ZK proof verification on the XRP Ledger, positioning it in competition with other privacy-focused blockchain solutions. Institutions such as SBI Holdings, Zand Bank, Archax, and Guggenheim Treasury Services are already utilizing the enhanced privacy and compliance features provided by this integration.
