Ripple shifts RLUSD to Ethereum, Ethereum widens lead

Ripple shifted 1.36M RLUSD from XRP Ledger to Ethereum, giving Ethereum a $350M lead in RLUSD supply. This reflects a trend of growing RLUSD adoption and cross-chain liquidity.

Ripple has transferred over 1.36 million RLUSD stablecoins from the XRP Ledger to Ethereum, signaling a notable rebalancing of RLUSD supply between the two blockchains. On September 6, 1,363,615 RLUSD was burned on the XRP Ledger and the same amount was minted on Ethereum within seconds, confirming a direct migration rather than an increase in total supply. This move is part of a broader trend, with Ethereum now holding approximately $1.38 billion in RLUSD compared to $1.03 billion on the XRP Ledger. As a result, Ethereum leads by $350 million and controls 57.3% of the total RLUSD supply. The shift follows a brief period in late June when the XRP Ledger temporarily surpassed Ethereum in RLUSD holdings. Despite declining user activity on the XRP Ledger, the total value held on the network has surged, largely due to RLUSD growth. Ripple continues to issue RLUSD across multiple blockchains, managing supply to enhance cross-chain liquidity and adoption.
