SBI Remit and Fasset partner for stablecoin payments
SBI Remit and Fasset are teaming up to build stablecoin-based cross-border payment infrastructure, combining global reach and blockchain tech for faster, cheaper, and more transparent transfers.
SBI Remit, the international remittance division of SBI Holdings, has partnered with digital asset platform Fasset to develop stablecoin-based infrastructure for cross-border payments, remittances, business transactions, treasury management, and settlements. This collaboration leverages SBI Remit’s extensive global payout network—which has processed over JP¥2.5 trillion and serves more than 200 countries—and Fasset’s blockchain-driven Own Network, operating across 50+ banking corridors and 16 blockchain networks in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and other emerging markets. Fasset processes about $32 billion in annualized transaction volume and supports over two million wallets. The partnership aims to introduce stablecoin-powered payment rails to improve settlement speed, reduce transaction costs, and increase transparency. Future plans include launching digital wallets, debit cards, and AI-powered financial tools. SBI Holdings made a strategic investment in Fasset during its $51 million Series B funding round in May 2026.
