Nubank and Mercado Pago temporarily suspended cryptocurrency withdrawals, deposits, and transfers on Friday due to instability with external providers. Both companies assured customers that their funds remain safe and that buying and selling virtual assets are still available. Nubank attributed the issue to an external transaction verification provider, emphasizing that no security risks were identified. However, there is currently no estimated time for resolution. Mercado Pago explained that an incident with a risk monitoring and anti-money laundering provider led to the instability. This resulted in the preventive blocking of some transfers to external wallets and possible delays in deposit credits. Both companies are closely monitoring the situation and will resume full services once stability is restored.
