Robinhood secures Dubai license for 2027 launch

Robinhood has secured DFSA approval to launch its retail investing platform in Dubai in 2027, offering trading and custody for crypto, stocks, ETFs, and more.

Robinhood has received full authorization from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to launch its retail investing platform in the Middle East. Operations will be based in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), with a planned launch in 2027. The DFSA license enables Robinhood to offer trading and custody services across all 10 approved asset classes, including equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and investment tokens. This marks a significant milestone in Robinhood’s international expansion, positioning the company to serve retail clients in the UAE and the broader Middle East region. Salah Kaddoura will lead Robinhood MENA’s regional operations. The DIFC has seen a notable rise in authorized brokerage firms, highlighting Dubai’s emergence as a global financial hub. Robinhood’s entry into Dubai follows similar expansions in Singapore and Canada, as the company continues to broaden its global presence and meet growing demand for accessible investment services.
