Binance to restrict transactions with 11 crypto platforms
Binance will restrict transactions with 11 crypto platforms, including HTX and EXMO, from August 23 due to new EU sanctions. Transactions may face compliance reviews and wallet restrictions.
Binance will restrict transactions with 11 crypto platforms, including HTX and EXMO, starting August 23. This decision follows recent regulatory changes and the European Union’s latest sanctions package. The affected platforms are Rapira, Aifory Pro, ABCeX, WhiteBird, NoOnecrypto, Tradex, Monease, BitPapa, Exnode/Exnode Pay, HTX (Huobi Global S.A.), and EXMO Ltd. After the effective date, transactions involving these platforms may undergo compliance reviews, and wallets linked to such transfers could face temporary restrictions. This move comes after earlier restrictions on Shelbit and Aban Tether Exchange from August 7, and A7 Nigeria, A7 Africa, and PilotFinance from August 13. The EU’s 21st sanctions package against Russia expanded transaction bans to include crypto platforms outside the bloc suspected of facilitating sanctions circumvention. Binance clarified that these restrictions target counterparties, not specific cryptocurrencies, as part of broader efforts to comply with international regulations.
