Injective seeks SEC approval for onchain securities records
Injective seeks SEC approval to record securities onchain and published a MiCA white paper for EU market access, advancing regulated blockchain integration.
Injective has submitted a transfer agent registration application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), aiming to bring traditional securities ownership records onto the blockchain. If approved, this would enable Injective to maintain official records for tokenized securities and real-world assets (RWAs) directly on-chain, streamlining settlement and reducing reliance on intermediaries. The announcement was made during the Injective Summit, where the platform highlighted its goal to establish a regulated pathway for issuing and managing securities onchain in the United States. In addition, Injective released a Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) white paper, registered with the European Securities and Markets Authority, to standardize disclosures and facilitate regulated market access across the European Union. These initiatives represent significant progress in integrating blockchain technology with regulated financial market infrastructure in both the U.S. and Europe.
