Ripple has received full Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) authorization from Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier, following an earlier preliminary approval. This new license, combined with Ripple’s existing Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license, allows the company to offer regulated crypto payment services, stablecoin flows, and digital asset infrastructure to financial institutions, corporates, and businesses across all 30 European Economic Area (EEA) countries under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework. With this approval, Ripple joins a select group of firms fully compliant with MiCA, expanding its global regulatory portfolio to over 75 licenses. The CASP authorization provides a clear legal foundation for Ripple Payments in Europe and supports the company’s strategy to scale its regulated cryptoasset services as demand for compliant digital asset infrastructure grows. As Europe transitions to the post-MiCA era, the region’s crypto market is now divided between licensed and restricted providers. Ripple, now fully licensed, is well-positioned to expand its presence across the EEA.
