FalconX, Hodli, and Strike secure MiCA licenses in EU
FalconX, Hodli, and Strike have secured MiCA licenses, enabling them to offer regulated crypto services across the EU and signaling a shift toward unified compliance.
FalconX has received authorization under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) from the Malta Financial Services Authority. This approval enables FalconX to offer regulated crypto trading, custody, and liquidity services across the European Economic Area under a unified regulatory framework, eliminating the need for separate national licenses. Meanwhile, Hodli has become the first crypto-asset portfolio manager in Italy to receive approval from the Bank of Italy under MiCA. This allows Hodli to both custody and manage digital assets for clients, further expanding regulated crypto services in the region. Additionally, Strike, a Bitcoin-focused payments app, secured full MiCA authorization from Malta’s regulator just before the EU’s transitional period ends. This grants Strike passporting rights to provide Bitcoin services across all 27 EU member states. These developments highlight the growing trend of crypto firms seeking regulatory clarity and compliance in Europe as MiCA becomes the industry standard.
