BitGo unveils MiCA-compliant crypto platform in Europe

BitGo launches a MiCA-compliant Crypto-as-a-Service platform, helping European crypto firms meet new EU regulations before the July 1, 2026 deadline by integrating with BitGo’s regulated infrastructure.

BitGo has launched a MiCA-compliant Crypto-as-a-Service platform across Europe, providing crypto firms, banks, and fintechs with a streamlined path to regulatory compliance as the EU’s Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) deadline approaches on July 1, 2026. Operating under a BaFin-issued MiCA license, BitGo Europe GmbH enables companies to integrate custody, asset transfers, trading infrastructure, and fiat payment systems via APIs. This eliminates the need for firms to build their own regulated infrastructure. Companies can onboard clients into segregated, MiCA-compliant sub-accounts while maintaining customer relationships, provided they complete the required KYC procedures. This service is positioned as a solution for firms unable to secure their own MiCA authorization before the deadline, with estimates suggesting up to 75% of pre-MiCA firms may lose registration. BitGo’s license, obtained in May 2025, is valid across all 30 EU and EEA countries, and its custody services include insurance coverage up to $250 million. The platform aims to lower entry barriers, accelerate regulatory adoption, and ensure business continuity for crypto service providers facing the new compliance landscape.
