Super Micro lifts forecast, boosts stock and Bitcoin
Super Micro boosts revenue forecast, stock surges 17%. Analysts urge caution on cash flow and inventory. AI optimism lifts Dell, HPE, and Bitcoin near $83,000.
Super Micro Computer has surpassed market expectations with its preliminary results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, raising its revenue forecast by $4 billion to $18.5–19.5 billion. This surge is attributed to strong demand for AI server solutions, which pushed the stock up by as much as 17% in after-hours trading. The company also improved its operating gross margin to 12%–12.5%. Despite these positive indicators, analysts remain cautious. They emphasize that the revenue growth must be matched by improved cash flow and stable inventory levels to ensure long-term sustainability. Super Micro’s upgraded forecast also positively impacted Dell and Hewlett Packard Enterprise shares. Additionally, robust results from Super Micro and SpaceX fueled AI-related trading sentiment, driving Bitcoin’s price close to $83,000. The crypto market experienced increased activity from large investors and notable gains in new token listings.
