CME Group unveils Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures
CME Group will launch Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures on October 19, pending approval, expanding its crypto derivatives lineup with both standard and micro contracts.
CME Group has announced plans to launch Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) futures on October 19, pending regulatory approval. The offering will include both standard and micro contracts, with BCH contracts representing 250 and 25 coins, and UNI contracts representing 10,000 and 1,000 coins, respectively. This move is in response to growing institutional demand for regulated risk management tools in the cryptocurrency market. It follows CME’s previous launches of futures for major tokens such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche, and Sui. The new futures products aim to provide greater flexibility and capital efficiency for market participants. CME’s crypto derivatives have seen robust trading activity, with an average daily notional volume of $8.3 billion in the first half of 2026. Following the announcement, both BCH and UNI prices experienced an uptick.
