Digital asset investment inflows reached $47.2 billion in 2025, nearly matching the previous year's record. Bitcoin inflows fell, while Ethereum, XRP, and Solana saw significant growth, reflecting a shift toward select altcoins.

Global digital asset investment products attracted $47.2 billion in inflows in 2025, nearly matching the previous year's record of $48.7 billion. While Bitcoin inflows dropped 35% to $26.9 billion, select altcoins saw explosive growth. Ethereum inflows surged 138% to $12.7 billion, XRP rose 500% to $3.7 billion, and Solana jumped 1,000% to $3.6 billion. Other altcoins saw a 30% decline in inflows, totaling $318 million. The shift in investor preference favored a few leading altcoins over the broader market. The U.S. led with $42.5 billion in inflows, while Germany and Canada reversed previous outflows, adding $2.5 billion and $1.1 billion respectively. Switzerland posted an 11.5% increase to $775 million. Institutional demand and improved infrastructure supported the strong inflows, with investors treating digital assets as long-term allocations. Despite market volatility and regulatory debates, digital assets maintained their appeal as portfolio diversifiers, with regulated products preferred over direct trading.
