VivoPower Unveils $300M Ripple Share Deal for $900M XRP Exposure

VivoPower and Lean Ventures plan to acquire $300M in Ripple Labs shares, offering South Korean investors indirect exposure to $900M in XRP. VivoPower expects $75M in fees over three years, without using its own capital.

VivoPower has announced a joint venture with South Korean asset manager Lean Ventures to acquire $300 million worth of Ripple Labs shares, providing indirect exposure to approximately 450 million XRP tokens, valued at around $900 million. The initiative targets institutional and qualified retail investors in South Korea, one of the largest markets for XRP. Rather than purchasing XRP directly, investors will gain exposure through equity in Ripple Labs, with Lean Ventures managing a dedicated investment vehicle. VivoPower will act as originator and manager, earning an estimated $75 million in management and performance fees over three years, without deploying its own capital. The company has received approval from Ripple for an initial tranche of preferred shares and is negotiating further purchases from existing institutional holders. This move is part of VivoPower’s broader XRP-centric treasury strategy and comes amid increased institutional interest in XRP following regulatory developments. The structure allows investors to access Ripple’s ecosystem while potentially benefiting from favorable entry pricing compared to spot markets.
