TSMC revenue jumps 54% on AI chip demand in September
TSMC’s September 2026 revenue jumped over 54% year-over-year to $16.07B, with Q3 sales beating forecasts. Growth is fueled by strong AI and high-performance computing demand.
TSMC reported a remarkable revenue surge for September 2026, reaching approximately $16.06–$16.07 billion. This marks a year-over-year increase of 54.6% to 55%. However, compared to August, revenue slipped slightly by about 0.6% to 1%. For the third quarter, TSMC’s revenue totaled around $46.7 billion, surpassing analyst expectations and reflecting a 51% increase from the previous year. Cumulative revenue from January through September 2026 rose 41.1% year-over-year to about $122.42 billion. The robust performance is driven by sustained demand for AI chips and high-performance computing, which now account for a significant portion of TSMC’s revenue. The company continues to expand its capacity to meet growing demand, with major clients like Nvidia and AMD fueling ongoing growth in AI and server CPU markets.
