OKX raises funds at $25B valuation with major crypto backing

OKX raised new funds at a $25B valuation from Circle, Ripple, SC Ventures, and QRT. The round extends March’s ICE-led funding. OKX is expanding into tokenized stocks and institutional markets.

OKX has completed a new funding round at a $25 billion valuation, attracting investments from Circle, Ripple, Standard Chartered’s SC Ventures, and Qube Research & Technologies (QRT), according to Bloomberg and other sources. The amount raised was not disclosed. This round extends a previous one from March, when Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), owner of the New York Stock Exchange, invested about $200 million in OKX at the same valuation and formed a strategic partnership. The new capital will support OKX’s expansion into tokenized stocks, institutional trading, and other financial products. OKX and ICE are preparing to launch trading of tokenized U.S. equities through their joint venture, OKXICE, which has listed 63 stock tokens under an SEC innovation exemption. Following the announcement, OKX’s native token, OKB, experienced a price surge. The $25 billion valuation remains unchanged from the March round.
