Bitcoin Suisse cuts Swiss jobs in global restructuring

Bitcoin Suisse will cut up to 60 Swiss jobs, shifting back-office and software roles to Bratislava and Vietnam as part of a global expansion. Client services will remain in Switzerland.

Bitcoin Suisse is undergoing a significant restructuring, with plans to cut up to 60 of its 120 Swiss jobs. The reductions will mainly impact back-office, administrative, and software development positions. These roles are being relocated to Bratislava and a new hub in Vietnam, while the company’s IT office in Copenhagen will close. This move is part of Bitcoin Suisse’s broader strategy to expand internationally and evolve from a Swiss-focused crypto specialist into a global wealth and asset management platform. The company stresses that these changes are not driven by financial distress or market weakness, but are intended to consolidate operations and reduce costs. Client-facing roles and personalized services will remain in Switzerland, which will continue to serve as the company’s headquarters. The final number of job cuts will be determined after a consultation period ending September 20, with the first layoffs expected before year-end.
