Coinbase and Webull expand global crypto partnership
Coinbase and Webull have expanded their partnership, bringing Coinbase-powered crypto trading, custody, and futures to Webull’s 25 million users globally, including a new rollout in Canada.
Coinbase and Webull have expanded their partnership to enhance crypto trading for Webull’s 25 million global users. Webull has replaced its previous crypto infrastructure with Coinbase’s full-stack platform, which now powers spot trading, custody, staking, and futures. This marks a shift from Webull’s former relationship with Bakkt. The integration, which began in June 2025, expanded Webull’s crypto offerings from a limited selection to about 101 supported tokens, with plans to reach 300 or more. On October 30, 2025, Webull introduced futures contracts for Dogecoin, Solana, XRP, and Litecoin through Coinbase Derivatives. In August 2025, Webull launched crypto trading in Australia, supporting up to 240 tokens via Coinbase Prime. The partnership has now expanded to Canada, where Coinbase will provide liquidity access and custody services for Webull Canada Crypto Limited, regulated by the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO). Crypto assets held through Webull Canada are not covered by the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF). Crypto ownership in Canada has surged to 25% of the population, up from 10% in 2023.
