Robinhood unveils AI agentic trading and payments beta

Robinhood launches beta for AI agentic trading and payments, enabling automated investing and spending with robust security and plans for broader asset support.

Robinhood has introduced beta versions of Agentic Trading and Agentic Credit Card, allowing users to connect third-party AI agents for automated investing and spending. Customers can set up dedicated accounts for these AI agents, who can analyze portfolios, rebalance holdings, execute trades, and make purchases using virtual credit cards—all within user-defined controls and spending limits. Currently, the system supports equities trading, with plans to expand into options, cryptocurrencies, and other asset classes. Security features include siloed accounts, real-time notifications, spending controls, and fraud detection. Users can monitor all activity and require manual approval for specific actions. This rollout addresses the growing demand for advanced AI tools, offering retail investors hedge fund-style automation and enhanced control over their financial activities.
