Dubai enables regulated trading of real estate tokens on XRPL

Dubai launches Phase Two of its real estate tokenization project, enabling regulated trading of property tokens on the XRP Ledger and improving market liquidity.

Dubai has launched Phase Two of its Real Estate Tokenization Project, introducing regulated secondary market trading for tokenized properties on the XRP Ledger. Developed in partnership with Ctrl Alt, this phase follows a successful pilot that tokenized ten properties valued at over $5 million, issuing approximately 7.8 million tokens. These tokens, representing AED 7.8 billion in property value, are now eligible for supervised secondary trading. Investors can buy and sell fractional ownership stakes in a transparent and compliant environment, with all transactions secured by Ripple Custody. The tokenization framework is fully integrated with Dubai's legal property registry, ensuring investor protection and regulatory oversight. Entry into the market is accessible, with minimum investments starting at AED 2,000. However, participation is currently limited to UAE Emirates ID holders. This initiative aims to enhance liquidity, broaden investor access, and streamline property transactions using blockchain technology.
