Arkham Exchange shuts down after weak user adoption
Arkham Exchange is closing due to low trading volume and user adoption, despite expansion efforts. The analytics business will continue operating.
Arkham Intelligence is shutting down its crypto trading platform, Arkham Exchange, due to insufficient trading volume and limited user adoption. Launched in late 2024, the platform aimed to rival major derivatives exchanges like Binance and Bybit by integrating trading features with on-chain analytics tools. It also introduced spot trading in several U.S. states and released a mobile app in December 2025. Despite attracting over 3 million users, Arkham Exchange struggled to gain significant traction, recording just under $620,000 in 24-hour trading volume—far below the billions seen on leading platforms. This closure underscores the fierce competition and high user-acquisition costs in the crypto trading industry. Arkham’s analytics business will remain operational. At the time of reporting, the native token ARKM was trading at approximately $0.12. The company has not commented on the shutdown.
