Goldman Sachs has revealed significant cryptocurrency holdings in its Q4 2025 filings, with reported values ranging from $2.36 billion to $3.3 billion, according to various sources. The bank’s portfolio includes $1.1 billion in Bitcoin, $1 billion in Ethereum, $153 million in XRP, and $108 million in Solana, accounting for about 0.33% of its total assets under management. A large portion of these holdings is allocated to Bitcoin exchange-traded funds, notably $1.1 billion in BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF. The bank also holds positions in Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund and other crypto-related instruments. The filings show a 15% increase in crypto exposure compared to the previous quarter, signaling a strategic shift and deeper engagement with digital assets. This move marks a notable evolution from Goldman Sachs’ earlier cautious stance, positioning it as one of the most exposed major US banks to cryptocurrencies.
