Bitnomial launches first US-regulated Tezos futures

Bitnomial launched the first US-regulated Tezos (XTZ) futures, enabling trading with crypto or USD margin. This move supports institutional adoption and may facilitate future spot ETF listings.

Bitnomial, a Chicago-based derivatives exchange regulated by the CFTC, has launched the first-ever Tezos (XTZ) US dollar futures contracts in the United States. This milestone marks the debut of Tezos futures on a US-regulated platform, expanding access for both institutional and retail traders. Traders can use either cryptocurrency or US dollars as margin for these contracts, which are part of Bitnomial’s Crypto Complex suite. The launch is seen as a significant step in the evolution of cryptocurrency derivatives, offering a regulated venue for price discovery and risk management in Tezos. The regulated status of these futures may also help satisfy requirements for potential spot ETF listings. Bitnomial’s initiative is expected to boost institutional participation and efficient digital asset use, with plans to add XTZ perpetual futures and options. The exchange already lists regulated futures for Cardano, XRP, and Aptos.
