CME Group unveils Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar futures
CME Group will launch regulated futures for Cardano, Chainlink, and Stellar on February 9, expanding its crypto derivatives lineup to meet rising demand for regulated products.
CME Group plans to launch regulated futures contracts for Cardano (ADA), Chainlink (LINK), and Stellar (XLM) on February 9, pending regulatory approval. These new products will include both standard and micro-sized contracts, such as 100,000 ADA and 10,000 ADA for micro, 5,000 LINK and 250 LINK for micro, and 250,000 XLM and 12,500 XLM for micro contracts. All contracts will be cash-settled and traded on CME’s regulated platform, expanding its crypto derivatives lineup, which already features Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, and Solana futures and options. This move addresses growing demand from both retail and institutional investors for regulated crypto products, offering greater flexibility and capital efficiency. CME’s crypto business has experienced significant growth, with record trading volumes and open interest. The launch aligns with increased trading activity in ADA, LINK, and XLM, reflecting the broader integration of digital assets into global portfolios.
