XRP Ledger payment volume soars 2,633% as RLUSD leads DEX growth
XRP Ledger payment volume jumped 2,633% to 137.7M XRP, marking a network recovery but still below the 30-day average. RLUSD led stablecoin DEX growth, with a $199.4M trading volume increase.
The XRP Ledger (XRPL) saw a remarkable 2,633.3% surge in payment activity over the past 24 hours, with transaction volumes reaching about 137.7 million XRP. This sharp uptick signals a significant recovery in network activity after a period of lower transactions. However, the current volume still falls short of the 30-day average of approximately 496 million XRP. Historical data reveals that the ledger has previously peaked at around 7 billion XRP in daily payment volume. This context highlights that while the recent spike is impressive, it does not surpass previous highs. Experts suggest that such increases are often driven by large wallet-to-wallet transfers, institutional settlements, or exchange activity, rather than a direct rise in investor demand. Meanwhile, Ripple USD (RLUSD) has led stablecoin growth on decentralized exchanges, posting a $199.4 million increase in trading volume over seven days—more than double its closest competitor. RLUSD’s growth is attributed to strong institutional infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and expanded DeFi integrations, though the surge reflects trading activity rather than new capital inflows.
