The Ethereum Foundation has appointed pcaversaccio, a longtime contributor and privacy advocate, to its board of directors for a one-year voluntary term. Pcaversaccio is known for his work in developer tooling, security, and privacy, including co-founding the emergency response initiative SEAL 911 and contributing to the Create2Deployer tool. He has also served on the EF Silviculture Society, an advisory group dedicated to upholding values like censorship resistance, open-source development, privacy, and security. Pcaversaccio authored the "Ethereum Cypherpunk Manifesto" in 2024 and "Ethereum Privacy: A Path to Self-Sovereignty" in 2025, and has advised on the foundation's treasury policy. This appointment comes amid broader leadership changes and organizational restructuring within the Ethereum Foundation, including staff reductions and a strategic shift toward a more focused protocol division. The board now includes Aya Miyaguchi, Vitalik Buterin, Patrick Storchenegger, and pcaversaccio.
