Ripple CTO refutes secret XRP government conspiracy claims

David Schwartz denies secret government or central bank plans involving XRP, clarifies Ripple’s NDAs are standard, and warns investors against conspiracy theories.

David Schwartz, CTO and CTO Emeritus of Ripple, has firmly denied claims that XRP is involved in secret government or central bank schemes. Addressing renewed speculation and conspiracy theories in the crypto community, Schwartz clarified that Ripple’s non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) with partners are standard business practices meant to protect commercial interests, not evidence of hidden government deals or undisclosed initiatives. He emphasized that there is no conspiracy or secret plan involving Ripple, XRP, and the U.S. government, adding that if such a plan existed, he would be aware of it. Schwartz cautioned investors against making financial decisions based on rumors or supposed hidden signals, stating that such beliefs are misleading. Additionally, Schwartz highlighted that Ripple’s operations, including the XRP escrow system, are transparent and publicly trackable. He noted that all significant partnerships, such as those with major banks, are publicly disclosed. His comments aim to draw a clear line between speculative hype and the actual business reality of Ripple and XRP.
