Raiffeisen Bank and Bitpanda launch crypto services

Raiffeisen Bank and Bitpanda are launching crypto services for 18 million customers in Central and Eastern Europe, with a phased rollout tailored to local regulations.

Raiffeisen Bank International has partnered with Bitpanda to offer digital asset services to up to 18 million customers across Central and Eastern Europe. Bitpanda will provide crypto trading infrastructure, custody solutions, and compliance support, while Raiffeisen’s subsidiary banks will manage customer relationships and tailor offerings to local regulatory requirements. The rollout will be phased, with each bank determining its own timeline and scope based on market and legal conditions. This initiative builds on a model previously launched in Austria and marks Bitpanda’s largest distribution network to date, spanning 11 countries. Customers will be able to access digital assets directly through their existing bank accounts, removing the need for separate crypto platform accounts. This collaboration highlights the growing demand for crypto services in the region and reflects a broader trend of traditional banks partnering with crypto firms to expand digital offerings.
