Mastercard partners with Binance, PayPal, and Ripple to launch a blockchain payment platform, aiming to modernize cross-border transactions and integrate digital assets with traditional finance.
Mastercard is advancing its blockchain payments strategy by partnering with leading industry players such as Binance, PayPal, and Ripple. The company has introduced a Crypto Partner Program, uniting over 85 firms from the digital asset and payments sectors to create a scalable blockchain-based settlement infrastructure. This initiative aims to bridge blockchain technology with traditional financial systems, focusing on high-volume, cross-border transactions. The goal is to address challenges like settlement delays, high costs, and lack of transparency. By leveraging the expertise and user bases of Binance, Ripple, and PayPal, Mastercard seeks to modernize global payments. Ripple’s XRP token will play a key role in cross-border liquidity and rapid transfers. Pilot programs are set to launch in 2026, aiming to make blockchain payments more accessible and efficient for businesses and consumers worldwide.
