OKX and ICE launch perpetual oil futures for crypto users
OKX and ICE will offer perpetual oil futures to crypto users, referencing Brent and WTI, expanding regulated energy trading to 120 million users in approved regions.
OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, have partnered to launch perpetual oil futures contracts for crypto users. These contracts reference ICE’s Brent crude and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) benchmarks and will be available to OKX’s 120 million retail traders in jurisdictions where perpetual derivatives are permitted. This initiative aims to bridge traditional commodity markets with digital asset platforms, providing regulated access to global energy benchmarks through digital infrastructure. The perpetual contracts have no expiration date, allowing traders to maintain positions indefinitely without contract renewal or physical delivery. This development follows a strategic relationship formed between OKX and ICE in March 2026. ICE will provide benchmark pricing and hold an equity stake in OKX, further strengthening ties between traditional finance and the crypto industry.
