MoonPay introduced Cash App Pay as a new payment option on August 18, 2026. We're excited to share that Tangem is among the chosen launch partners helping bring this feature to you. You can use your Cash App balance to buy digital assets directly on the Tangem app through MoonPay
How it works
- Open the Tangem app and tap Add Funds.
- Select the asset to buy, e.g., BTC, USDC.
- Tap Buy
- Select the amount
- Tap All offers
- Select Cash App Pay via MoonPay as your payment method.
- Proceed to checkout.
What you can buy
Through MoonPay on Tangem, you can use your Cash App Pay balance to buy ETH, SOL, XRP, USDT, and other supported assets. Your purchased crypto goes directly to your Tangem Wallet, where you hold your own keys.
Cash App has approximately 57 million active users in the US. Many of those users already keep a Cash App balance for daily payments. Now that balance doubles as an on-ramp. If you already use Cash App Pay for rent, splits, or transfers, you can use the same funds to buy Bitcoin and other digital assets in seconds.
More payment options, same self-custody
Tangem already supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit and debit cards, and bank transfers through MoonPay. Cash App Pay joins that list.
Availability
Cash App Pay through MoonPay is available to eligible users in the United States. You need a Cash App balance and the latest Tangem app version. MoonPay handles the compliance and identity verification on its side. If you have already completed KYC with MoonPay, you can start immediately.
