BNB Chain's 2026 Roadmap: 20,000 TPS, Low Fees, and Next-Gen Trading
BNB Chain's 2026 roadmap aims for 20,000 TPS, sub-second finality, and low fees, with dual-client architecture, advanced middleware, and a next-gen trading chain, following a record-breaking, zero-downtime 2025.
BNB Chain has unveiled its 2026 roadmap, following a year of uninterrupted operations and record activity in 2025, including 31 million daily transactions, zero downtime, and significant reductions in block times and transaction fees. The roadmap targets scaling the network to 20,000 transactions per second with sub-second finality, while maintaining low and predictable fees. Key upgrades include a dual-client architecture, combining the existing client for stability with a new Rust-based client for enhanced performance. Planned improvements cover parallel execution, scalable storage, and advanced middleware to support privacy, AI integration, and efficient dApp development. The roadmap also introduces a next-generation trading chain aiming for near-instant confirmations and eventual capacity of up to one million TPS. These enhancements are designed to benefit both developers and users, with optional migration paths for gradual adoption and a focus on supporting trading-focused and latency-sensitive applications.
