Cardano’s V11 hard fork is live on Preview testnet, with a mainnet vote on May 29. The upgrade enhances smart contract efficiency. ADA eyes $0.26+, while Lace Wallet adds new features.

Cardano has successfully launched its V11 “Van Rossem” hard fork on the Preview testnet, marking a major step ahead of the mainnet governance vote scheduled for May 29. This upgrade brings Protocol Version 11, designed to make smart contracts faster and cheaper, strengthen cryptography, and enhance stake pool security. Developers and service providers now have a live environment to test new features, while infrastructure teams have prepared with node v11.0.1 and DB-Sync v13.7.0.5. The PreProd testnet is undergoing final checks, including updates to the Plutus Cost Model, to ensure mainnet readiness. The hard fork is expected to boost performance, especially for Plutus smart contracts. ADA is currently trading between $0.24 and $0.26, with the upcoming governance vote seen as a key catalyst. Meanwhile, the Lace Wallet has entered a new phase with Version 2.0, expanding multi-chain support and usability.
