The Ethereum Foundation has introduced a $1 million audit subsidy program under its Trillion Dollar Security Initiative to support developers building on Ethereum. This initiative aims to lower the financial barriers of security audits, making them more accessible to a broader range of projects. In partnership with Areta, Nethermind, Chainlink Labs, and over 20 professional audit firms, the program will subsidize up to 30% of audit costs for selected projects. New cohorts will be chosen monthly through a structured application and review process. Open to all Ethereum mainnet builders, the program is designed to enhance the security and resilience of the Ethereum ecosystem. It encourages best practices and supports projects that prioritize censorship resistance, open source development, privacy, and security.
