Uniswap launches on-chain token auctions on Base
Uniswap launched Continuous Clearing Auctions on Base, enabling gradual, on-chain token launches with built-in price discovery and automatic liquidity, aiming to reduce volatility and improve transparency.
Uniswap has introduced its Continuous Clearing Auctions (CCA) feature on the Base network, providing developers with a new on-chain solution for token launches. This system incorporates gradual auctions, price discovery, and automatic liquidity provisioning, all accessible through Uniswap v4 on Base. The CCA framework allows teams to conduct fully on-chain token auctions, where tokens are sold incrementally and bids are cleared block by block. This approach supports organic price discovery before open trading begins and helps reduce sharp price swings, sniping, and front-running often seen in traditional token launches. After the auction concludes, liquidity is automatically seeded into a Uniswap v4 pool at the final cleared price, eliminating the need for manual pool setup. The permissionless and customizable system offers a transparent and efficient workflow for launching new tokens on one of Ethereum’s most active layer-2 networks.
