StraitsX Stablecoins Set for Solana Debut, Enabling Instant SGD-USD Swaps

StraitsX will launch its Singapore and U.S. dollar stablecoins on Solana by early 2026, enabling instant SGD-USD swaps, supporting DeFi, and leveraging Solana’s fast, low-cost network for digital payments and AI-driven transactions.

StraitsX has announced plans to launch its Singapore dollar-backed stablecoin (XSGD) and U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin (XUSD) on the Solana blockchain by early 2026. This move, in collaboration with the Solana Foundation, will enable instant swaps between SGD and USD on Solana, supporting digital forex trading, cross-border settlements, and decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. The integration leverages Solana’s high-speed, low-cost infrastructure, allowing near-instant settlements and minimal transaction fees. Both stablecoins, pegged 1:1 to their respective fiat currencies and fully backed by reserves, have processed over $18 billion in on-chain volume and are recognized under Singapore’s regulatory framework. The launch will also introduce the x402 payment standard for automated and AI-driven transactions, aiming to unify liquidity, lending, and payment flows on a single chain. XSGD and XUSD are already available on other blockchains, but this marks the first time Solana will host a digital Singapore dollar token, expanding its role in global payments and digital commerce.
