Circle and Nium launch global USDC payouts

Circle and Nium partner to enable USDC settlement and real-time global payouts in 190+ countries, streamlining cross-border payments and expanding stablecoin adoption.

Circle and Nium have announced a strategic partnership to integrate USDC settlement with Nium’s global payout infrastructure, spanning over 190 countries and supporting more than 100 currencies. This collaboration enables businesses and financial institutions to settle transactions in USDC or local fiat currencies through a single integration, eliminating the need for prefunded accounts and reducing operational complexity. Nium’s platform, now enhanced with Coinbase’s stablecoin APIs, allows for real-time payouts to bank accounts, cards, or digital wallets. The partnership also introduces real-time onchain transaction tracking and leverages Nium’s extensive regulatory licenses, enhancing compliance and transparency for users. This move is expected to streamline cross-border payments, optimize foreign exchange processes, and expand the reach of stablecoin payments for institutions worldwide. Following the announcement, Circle’s stock maintained its gains, reflecting investor confidence in the partnership.
