Visa, Stripe, and Zodia Custody join Tempo as validators
Visa, Stripe, and Zodia Custody are now validators on the Tempo blockchain, enhancing its security and scalability and signaling growing institutional adoption of blockchain-based payment infrastructure.
Visa, Stripe, and Zodia Custody have joined the Tempo blockchain as validators, marking a major step in integrating leading payment companies with blockchain technology. These firms are now responsible for validating, ordering, and finalizing transactions on the recently launched Tempo mainnet, which features a proxy payment protocol for agent-driven transactions. This collaboration follows nearly six months of technical work between Visa and Tempo, with Visa managing its validator node entirely in-house. The involvement of these established companies, which collectively process trillions in payments annually, enhances the security, transparency, and scalability of Tempo’s stablecoin infrastructure. Their participation signals growing institutional interest in blockchain-based payment solutions and stablecoin settlements. Visa’s leadership also highlighted ongoing work in stablecoin technologies and plans to explore validator roles on other blockchains in the future.
