Injective unveils native USDC and cross-chain transfers

Injective now supports native USDC and Circle’s CCTP, enabling secure, seamless USDC transfers across major blockchains and boosting DeFi liquidity and efficiency.

Injective has launched native USDC on its mainnet, integrating Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) to enable seamless cross-chain transfers without relying on wrapped tokens or third-party bridges. This integration allows users and developers to move USDC directly between Injective and other CCTP-supported blockchains, such as Ethereum, Solana, and Cosmos-based protocols. The move enhances liquidity, capital efficiency, and transaction speed while reducing risks associated with traditional bridge models. Native USDC now serves as a regulated, dollar-denominated settlement asset on Injective, supporting trading, staking, lending, and algorithmic strategies. By addressing interoperability challenges, this integration positions Injective as a leading DeFi hub, providing efficient, secure, and fully backed stablecoin access for onchain financial applications. The USDC supply is nearing $80 billion, reflecting growing adoption and demand for regulated stablecoins in decentralized finance.
