Solana breaks record with $650B stablecoin transactions
Solana processed $650B in stablecoin transactions in February, doubling its previous record. The network is shifting toward payments and now ranks fourth in stablecoin supply.
Solana's blockchain reached a major milestone in February, processing over $650 billion in stablecoin transactions—the highest monthly volume ever recorded on any blockchain. This achievement more than doubled its previous record from October, signaling a significant rise in on-chain payment activity and a shift from meme coin trading to SOL and stablecoin pairs. The network's low transaction fees have fueled its growth in micropayments and decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. Solana now ranks as the fourth-largest blockchain by stablecoin supply and is second in USDC circulation. Stablecoins are now central to Solana's ecosystem, powering DEX trading, DeFi lending, payments, and yield-generating applications. With 2.3 million daily active users, Solana continues to attract both retail and institutional interest. Despite a stagnant overall stablecoin supply, Solana's ecosystem has seen increased liquidity and adoption, positioning it as a leading hub for stablecoin transactions and digital payments.
