Sui launches USDsui stablecoin, redirects yield to ecosystem

Sui launched USDsui, a stablecoin redirecting reserve yield into the ecosystem via token buybacks and DeFi incentives. Issued by Bridge, USDsui aims to boost on-chain activity and growth.

The Sui blockchain launched its native stablecoin, USDsui, on March 4, 2026. Issued by Bridge, a Stripe subsidiary, USDsui is fully backed by liquid assets such as U.S. Treasury bonds. Unlike traditional stablecoins, the yield generated from these reserves is redirected into the Sui ecosystem through SUI token buybacks and DeFi incentives, rather than being retained by the issuer. This model aims to create a self-sustaining economic loop, supporting on-chain liquidity and incentivizing network activity. USDsui is integrated with major DeFi applications and Sui-compatible wallets, offering fast, low-fee transactions and robust compliance features for institutional users. Asset management is handled by Galaxy Digital, with $10 million already deployed into a yield-generating vault. The launch marks a strategic evolution in stablecoin design, focusing on regenerative finance and ecosystem growth.
