WLFI launches World Swap for global crypto remittances
WLFI, linked to the Trump family, announced World Swap—a forex and remittance platform using its USD1 stablecoin for faster, cheaper cross-border payments.
World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a crypto project linked to the Trump family, has announced the upcoming launch of World Swap—a decentralized foreign exchange and remittance platform built around its USD1 stablecoin. Co-founder Zak Folkman unveiled the project at Consensus Hong Kong, highlighting its goal to streamline cross-border payments and challenge traditional remittance services, which typically charge fees between 2% and 10%. World Swap leverages blockchain technology to enable faster settlements and lower fees, allowing users to send and receive digital dollars through an interface similar to popular payment apps. The platform will also integrate with global debit cards and bank accounts, facilitating near-instant international transactions. This launch is part of WLFI’s broader strategy to expand its financial ecosystem, which includes lending, token swaps, real-world asset products, and a debit card—all centered on the cash-backed USD1 stablecoin. Additional product announcements are expected at an upcoming Mar-a-Lago event.
