Circle and Polymarket partner for native USDC settlement

Circle and Polymarket are partnering to move Polymarket’s settlement from bridged to native USDC, boosting security, reliability, and efficiency for prediction market users.

Circle has announced a partnership with Polymarket to enhance stablecoin infrastructure for prediction markets. As part of this collaboration, Polymarket will transition from using bridged USDC on Polygon to Circle-issued native USDC as the primary collateral for trading and settlement. This shift eliminates the need for cross-chain bridges, improving security, reliability, and capital efficiency. Native USDC, issued directly by Circle’s regulated entities, enables one-to-one redemption with US dollars and supports a more transparent, scalable settlement process. The transition is expected to be completed in the coming months, aiming to deliver a more robust, institutionally aligned, and user-friendly experience for Polymarket participants. This partnership highlights the industry’s move toward native stablecoin adoption and improved on-chain financial infrastructure as prediction markets expand.
