Chainlink Labs joins GAKS to advance KRW stablecoins
Chainlink Labs joins GAKS to boost KRW stablecoin adoption, supporting technical standards, compliance, and infrastructure for Korean won-backed digital assets.
Chainlink Labs has officially joined the Global Alliance for KRW Stablecoin (GAKS), an initiative led by WEMADE to advance the adoption and technical standards of Korean won-backed stablecoins. Launched in November 2025, the alliance aims to expand real-world use of KRW stablecoins, ensure compliance with Korean financial regulations, and build a trusted digital asset infrastructure. Chainlink Labs will provide strategic support in technical standard setting, infrastructure development, and tokenized asset use cases. Leveraging its expertise in data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy, Chainlink Labs is expected to strengthen the alliance’s security, transparency, and reliability. This partnership enables alliance members to utilize Chainlink’s platform for key digital asset applications. The move underscores Korea’s growing focus on regulated, institution-ready stablecoins and enhances the global competitiveness of KRW-denominated digital assets.
